My impressions of the PS4

Hope that everyone of us that got a PS4 enjoy it so far. On my side I really enjoy it, sure I had some problem with Battlefield 4 but that's mostly a game problem than a console one.

The console is really fast, I have read that it was slow to open, but on my side I think it's opening faster than the PS3, switching in the menu or accessing/browsing the PS Store is also really fast. Installing game, and I mean real big game like Battlefield 4 and Call Of Duty: Ghost take about 1-2 minutes and it start automatically once you put the disk in, same thing for the updates. The little ambiant song is a nice addition while you wait for a download or can't decide which game you want to play.

Saturday and sunday it seems the What's New section was taking down, so I didn't had the chance to really test it, also I think I only have one friend that got a PS4 (plus my girlfriend who play on mine) so I cannot see what it looks like when they unlock trophies, post videos and so on.

The controller is really awesome, feel comfortable from the first second that I hold it in my hand, I think that everything is perfect on it and will not change anything, but I would like to test more the touch pad.
The headset include with it is workly correctly but feel a little bit uncomfortable after a while, I will need to try to buy a wire to connect my TB PX5 to the controller, but for now the quality is ok.

Now for the game, I only played 3 of them, Battlefield 4 (some MP and one SP mission), Call Of Duty : Ghost (only in MP) and Contrast (a free game with PS+) and the graphics are what you would expect for a next-gen console, really beautiful.

The only cons I have are mostly stuff that might be added through an update, you cannot sort your trophies in the order you want, you cannot stop a download to prioritize another one and you can't see since how long one of your friend is offline, as you can see not a big deal. Also the fast that you can't have a media server as of now is a pain as I was using my PS3 to stream some video from my laptop that is upstairs, but I don't do that really often and Sony is looking to add that back.

I really like the console as you have probably notice, for the price compare to the XOne or the last gen, it's really a must buy for any gamers. Feel free to add me if you want, my PSN is PunkMetal
